Laser system accessories

  • High-voltage power supplies: High Voltage power supply modules are designed to be used with high repetition rate Pockels cell drivers that require up to 400 W power from HV source. Power supplies feature adjustable HV outputs and an additional 24 V DC output channel.
  • Laser synchronization modules: Compact OEM or encased laser synchronization modules and pulse delay generators. SY4000 features 8 independent output channels, precise delay control, high accuracy synchronization to external pulse train, and frequency dividers.
  • Laser diode drivers: Economical OEM universal laser diode driver modules with a wide current range and diode compliance voltage range. Laser diode drivers feature low current ripple and drift, the latest DSP based control technology and easy configuration.

Pockels cells and their HV drivers with power supplies:

EKSMA Optics offers Pockels Cells with KD*P, KTP and BBO crystals for Q-switching of the laser cavity, cavity dumping of mode-locked lasers, injection and extraction of laser pulses into and from regenerative amplifiers, and beam chopping applications. We also offer High Voltage drivers for operation with our Pockels cells and High Voltage power supplies for powering the HV drivers. Other products presented here are ultrafast pulse picking systems based on our Pockels cells and Q-switching kits consisting of Pockels cells with driver and HV power supply.

Nonlinear and laser media crystals:

EKSMA Optics offers a complete line of nonlinear optical crystals for different frequency conversion applications. This line includes BBO, LBO, KTP, KTA, KDP, DKDP, LiIO3, LiNbO3, MgO:LiNbO3, AGS (AgGaS2), AGSe (AgGaSe2) nonlinear crystals and laser media crystals - Yb:KGW, Yb:KYW, Nd:YAG, Nd:KGW, Ti:Sapphire, passive Q-switching crystals Cr:YAG, Co:Spinel, Raman shift crystals KGW, Ba(NO3)2, and terahertz generation crystals ZnTe, GaSe.


Dielectric thin film and metallic coatings for optical components and crystals:

Our IBS machines feature up to 30 cm diameter coating area with coating uniformity better than 1%. We deposit HR, PR, AR, filter, and polarizing coatings on different optical glasses and Fused Silica. Also, we developed and deposit the highest damage threshold AR coatings for nonlinear LBO, BBO, LiNbO3, and KTP crystals.

The infrastructure of the IBS coating facility is equipped with automatic ultrasonic cleaning machines with multi baths, special workplaces in clean rooms, and laminar hoods with tools and microscopes for preparation and inspection of surfaces of optical elements. The IBS facility also has thermal annealing equipment for further treatment of coated optics.


Optical systems including beam expanders and F-theta lenses:

Optical systems include F-theta scanning lenses for laser marking applications, compact fixed ratio beam expanders and zoom beam expanders for Nd:YAG laser fundamental and harmonic wavelengths, Gauss-to-top hat beam shaping lenses, simple telescope kits, motorized or manually adjusted variable attenuators for linearly polarized laser beam or pulses. We also offer precision spatial filters, precision pinholes, iris diaphragms, variable wheel attenuators, and air-cooled or water-cooled beam dumps.


Standard optomechanical components for the labs:

We offer a wide range of precision optomechanics: from optical tables and breadboards to smaller optomechanical components, like optical rails, translation stages, optical mounts, or posts. Many of the translation stages and optical mounts also have motorized and vacuum compatible versions.


Spherical, aspherical and axicon lens manufacturing by custom requests and drawings:

EKSMA Optics started production of lenses in 2015. Currently, we produce spherical, aspherical, conical (axicon) lenses from 8 mm to 150 mm in diameter with CNC grinding and polishing machines. The lenses are produced from various grades of Fused Silica, N-BK7, S-LAH64, SF5, and other glasses. CNC technology allows to produce lenses one by one, hence we can offer even small quantities of lenses made to custom specifications at an attractive price. We also offer our own AR coatings services for the lenses.


Design of the coatings and coatings services for optical components and crystals for 300-5000 nm range using IBS technology:

Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) is the most advanced deposition technology for the most critical demands on laser optics. The technology allows depositing dielectric thin film coatings with precisely controlled spectral parameters. IBS processes are highly reproducible with broadband optical spectral monitoring and layers thickness control during the coating process. Optics and crystals coated with IBS technology feature the highest LIDT in comparison with other commercially available coating deposition technologies. IBS coatings feature stable spectral performance in changing ambient conditions. There is no spectral shift in a vacuum. IBS coatings are dense, non-porous, and have perfect adhesion.
